I just found out where these folding chairs were made.
Council just doesn't care.

i am the first one there before anyone including council members and the mayor. i unlock the room, put the coffee on, turn the lights on and dust off the chairs for the meeting then i select the most comfortable chair that the city can offer on the taxpayer dime. i am truely a involved citizen.

At times, the council caucus room gets so crowded that more people (the public) are standing than are sitting around the council caucus table.  The city has now provided about a dozen new folding chairs to be used when a crowd actually shows up for a council committee meeting.
