It looks like the snow in that photo must have been around three
feet deep...

Well, a small bobcat front loader just went down the street in front
of my house - the cars are too close together for a county plow truck
to make it through without hitting them.

Hopefully, the guy driving it will make about fifty more passes up and
down the street before he leaves... lol

It seems like every time I try to get out of the neighborhood to go to the store
or the gas station, I have to get the tow rope out of my truck and move someone
else's car out of the way....the idiots in my neighborhood insist upon trying to
navigate through a foot of snow - while driving a Honda with no snow tires !

UPDATE:
A Winter Storm Warning remains in effect until 7 PM EST
Wednesday.

Low pressure over Kentucky will move northeast across Northern
Ohio tonight. Snow associated with this low will spread across the
area today. Occasional snow will then continue into Wednesday
morning gradually tapering off during the day. Snowfall this
afternoon will likely range from 2 to 4 inches west of Interstate
71 with the heaviest snow occurring near Toledo and Findlay. 1 to
3 inches of accumulation is expected from Cleveland to Youngstown.
Another 3 to 5 inches will likely occur tonight with additional
snowfall on Wednesday. Total storm accumulations through early
Wednesday evening will range from 6 to 10 inches.

In addition... windy conditions will develop late tonight into
Wednesday causing considerable blowing and drifting snow.
Northeast to east winds of 10 to 20 mph tonight will become
northwest Wednesday morning and increase to 15 to 25 mph with
occasional higher gusts.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Winter Storm Warning is issued when severe winter weather is
expected. Heavy snow and/or ice will cause hazardous driving
conditions. If you will be traveling in the warning area you
should choose an alternate Route if possible... or you should use
extreme caution if travel is unavoidable. Stay tuned to NOAA
Weather Radio and other radio and TV stations for further details
or updates.

Huge snow storms are par for the course in western New York especially the Buffalo area.

I recall a trip some of us made in the 1970's to Canada and getting caught in a blizzard. It was about this time of the year. It was getting so bad that we had to turn back. Even the truck stops were snowed in.

By the time we go home we were suprised by the fact that we didn't get it here.

I'm sure glad that I am well stocked up with plenty of food and won't have to venture out.

This reminds me of the great Thanksgiving blizzard of the early 1950's when the city was snowbound for over a week and the National Guard came in to help with snow removal.

In the winter of 86-87 (if my memory is right) we were sent from Ft Bragg, NC up into upper State NY to help dig them out.

We haven't even finished digging out down here... electric lines are
still laying on the ground all over the neighborhood, etc.  I thank
my lucky stars that I still have power, cable and internet or I'd
be going stir crazy...

Plows probably won't come through for at least a week back in
the neighborhood....

STORM WARNING WHICH IS IN EFFECT FROM NOON TUESDAY TO 7 PM EST
WEDNESDAY. THE WINTER STORM WATCH IS NO LONGER IN EFFECT.

LOW PRESSURE WILL MOVE ACROSS NORTHERN OHIO TUESDAY NIGHT. SNOW
ASSOCIATED WITH THIS LOW WILL SPREAD INTO NORTHEAST OHIO LATE
TUESDAY MORNING. PERIODS OF SNOW WILL THEN CONTINUE THROUGH LATE
WEDNESDAY. ACCUMULATIONS THROUGH SUNSET ON TUESDAY WILL GENERALLY
BE BETWEEN 1 AND 3 INCHES. ANOTHER 3 TO 5 INCHES OF SNOW IS LIKELY TUESDAY
NIGHT WITH ADDITIONAL SNOWFALL ON WEDNESDAY. TOTAL STORM
ACCUMULATIONS THROUGH EARLY WEDNESDAY EVENING WILL RANGE FROM 6 TO
9 INCHES.

IN ADDITION...WINDY CONDITIONS WILL DEVELOP TUESDAY NIGHT INTO
WEDNESDAY CAUSING CONSIDERABLE BLOWING AND DRIFTING SNOW.
