i too enjoyed listening to the artists that where involved in this project. there was an artist there that was not too happy about the stolen panels that these artists painted. i would not want to meet him/her on his good day. :o

Art Youngstown, Lemon Grove Café, and Second Harvest Food Bank invite you to meet the artists of Wrap The Arts.

Monday, November 16, 7:30 p.m.

- Location -
Lemon Grove Cafe
122 W. Federal Plaza
Downtown Youngstown

There will be a slideshow open to the public of the 6-by-8 foot canvases that were painted by local artists and from New York.  Come meet the artists as they tell their stories of how each canvas came to be.  Wrap The Arts project is funded by a grant from the Raymond J. Wean Foundation.

The three community partners are also asking for your help as the holiday seasons start, to please bring can food and non-perishables for admission to the event.  Artists not only have their art as a way of feeding their souls, but they see the art as a way of helping the communities, in which they live and work, so please help us to help others.  Jacob Harver, owner of the Lemon Grove Café is hosting, you will be able to purchase drinks and food at this event.

The canvases are hung at 1226 Wick Ave, Youngstown, a permanent display with the continuing to other parts of the city hopefully.  Some of the artists are lifetime residents of the Youngstown and surrounding areas, while others have only been in the area for a short while.
