Shelling In The Ukraine

For 5 years we've been told 24-7 that Trump and Putin were best buddies.  Based on hearing stuff like that I was expecting to find out about a new Trump/USSR Tower being built over there. OOPS! I meant USSR/Trump Tower because Trump wouldn't want to offend what's so important to him.

Seeing what's happening today, I don't think the best buddies story was true. If they were so close wouldn't Trump have helped pave the way for Putin to take back the whole country of Ukraine to be part of a new and improved USSR 2.0?

It is quite clear that Putin doesn't care about economic sanctions. I think he just waited to do this until we got a president he doesn't have to be afraid of.   

In a similar note, It also seems kinda weird how much we want to secure Ukraine's border while letting anyone come through ours. What's keeping those damn Russians, and others, from illegally entering our country and moving into Mahoning County without knowing their covids vaccine status or if they have a criminal background?
