I'm glad to hear it was only one and you're not allergic. It doesn't make it good but it does make it better than worse.

I was digging in the garden today.  I turned over a shovel of dirt and exposed a sphere about the size of a baseball.
A second later a few hornets came out of the nest.  I started to run but one stung me on the back of my neck.  The area of the bite kept pinching for most of the day.
