Guitar Gaming Tournament sponsored by the Art Outreach Gallery

Saturday, February 28, 2009 from 12 noon to approximately 5:30 pm.

On Saturday, February 28, 2009, the Art Outreach Gallery in the Eastwood Mall in Niles, Ohio will host a Guitar Gaming Tournament, featuring competition in Guitar Hero World Tour. The tournament will start at 12:00 noon in the Mall Concourse in front of Sears. Sign-in opens at 11:00 am.

The tournament is FREE and open to youths ages 13 to 18. Registration forms are available at the Art Outreach Gallery, the GameStop stores in the Eastwood Mall and by contacting Chris McCullough, junior from Niles McKinley High School. (Signed parent/guardian consent is required for all players.)

Up to 64 guitar gamers will compete in player vs. player matches. Entries will be filled on a "first come, first serve" basis.

Various mall stores have donated tournament prizes. "Gold" sponsors include the Eastwood Mall Complex and Mall merchants Sears, GameStop and Image Arts Etc.

Youth volunteers, Chris McCullough, junior and Zach Law, sophomore, both from Niles McKinley High School Key Club were very active in overseeing the coordination of many aspects of the tournament.  Special thank you to Chris, Zach and the entire Niles McKinley High School Key Club in helping to ensure a great event experience for everyone.

The Gallery will be selling raffle tickets and accepting donations during the tournament.

The event is made possible by the generous donations of the Eastwood Mall and the Warren Junior Women's League/GFWC. The Gallery operates through volunteer assistance. Please consider sharing some of your time.

The Art Outreach Gallery is located along the concourse between Macy's and JC Penney's, directly across from American Eagle Outfitters. Gallery hours are Friday 5:00pm to 9:00pm, Saturday 1:00pm to 9:00pm, and Sunday 1:00pm to 5:00pm. It is always free and open to the public.
