The lack of Sunday WRTA bus service is a problem.  The 2 Mile Fun Run/Walk starts near the YMCA downtown and travels west on Mahoning Avenue to an area near Mill Creek Park.  At this point the runners reverse course and return to the downtown.  The 10k race starts on West Indianola, follows the roads on the east side of Mill Creek Park, and then heads to the downtown YMCA by way of Mahoning Avenue.

Are you able to watch a portion of the race by coming to either of the race routes?

I do not know how many people do not drive or have transportation, but I use WRTA Transit and they have no busing on Sunday.  I attend and support on all other days where busing is available.  Can they change next year's race to Saturday?

The Youngstown Peace Race takes place on Sunday, October 23, in downtown Youngstown.  I've attended this event several time over the past few years.  One thing is usually lacking--the support of area residents to watch the race.

Every member of the Downtown Forum should do two things--recruit people to be in the Youngstown Peace Race and bring people to downtown Youngstown to watch the race.
