Even though the Athens News endorsed Charlie Wilson for re-election today, it did have some positive news to say about the Green Party Campaign of Dennis Spisak:

"We're closer to Green Party candidate Spisak than we are Wilson and Stobbs when it comes to coal mining and power plants. Wilson is a cheerleader for continuing to make coal the centerpiece of Ohio's energy policy. Yet he won't admit the truth, which is that an applicable way to make coal burn cleanly is not yet practical and may never be. Wilson's energy policy would result in continued foot-dragging on the issue of global warming, and his emphasis on "alternative energy" sources apparently is mainly a reference to new ways to dig and burn coal.
Spisak, on the other hand, says we should depend less on fossil fuels, and start concentrating on renewable energy sources such as geothermal, solar and wind power."

"Even though Stobbs appears sincere in his desire to help the people of the Sixth District, and Spisak has innovative and progressive ideas on a variety of issues, we feel Wilson, with his focus on helping small businesses and his position on the House Financial Services Committee, offers the best bet for Sixth District voters."

This election is not over. The Spisak campaign will continue to make its case on why a change is needed in Washington in the 6th District.
