Tree inventory?  What trees are they inventorying and why?

The City Forester and Planning Department are coordinating a training session for Youngtown's first ever Tree Inventory and Assessment Program using the state-of-the-art i-Tree software.  We are requesting committed volunteers to conduct this citywide survey over the next few months.  A training session will be offered this Saturday, August 16th at the Main Library branch (305 Wick Ave.).  The training is a hands-on, three-hour session that will start at 9:30 am and continue until 12:30pm.  Prior tree knowledge is not required.
