I remember someone a few years ago telling us that healthcare in the USA needed improvement and then did something about it. Too bad that something wasn't even close to actually helping. It's even worse today.

A friend has a very serious illness.  The doctor prescribed a medication that had to be compounded by a pharmacist.

The health insurance company would not pay for the prescribed medication.

Why?
