I had to take down the Photo library due to space limitations but am adding new photos to my Webshot page. There are over 200 pictures there so far and more will be added as I edit and process them.

I noticed that myself. St. Pats is listed as a West Side church when in point of fact, its on the South Side. Like you, I saw there were a number of pictures that while good, were mislabled.

I looked at the photos at urbanohio and the location for some of the westside photos is a mystery to me. I'd like to know where they are.

urbanohio.com has a very large collection of current pictures you would enjoy seeing as well as current photos of many towns and cities in Ohio. YtownNewsandViews has posted many of the current photos on that site. If we talk nice, maby he might share some of the best of his here.

I like seeing them, there are some I haven't seen before, I actually have one of the birds eye views of downtown as my background. However, I would rather see current photos, I haven't been able to find a site with a good amount of current pictures.

NOTICE:

I really need to know if there is any real interest in historic pictures of Youngstown. I went in to update my main website this morning only to find that I'm getting very close to reaching my limit, and I really cannot afford to strip it down to the bare minimum since it is really my first priority.

IF I see that the photo album is not getting the hits I think are needed to keep it up, I will have to take it down. I will update the album next Friday, but cannot guarintee that it will stay up unless I have your input.

I will give it til June 1 and then make my decision.

Towntalk

Because I've reached my limit, I recommend that you download the 25 or so that are there because I will be deleating them next Friday so that I can add new ones.

The next set will cover the 1889 period.

Eleven new photos have been added. All these pictures focus in on the Central Square.

As I look at them, and recall all the great articles I have read in old issues of The Vindicator and the Youngstown Telegram, I sure wish that I could have had the opportunity to have been alive back then. Those were very interesting and exciting times.

Opportunity is missed by most people because it is dressed in overalls and looks like work.

I have started a Youngstown historic photo web site at:

http://farrell-report.tripod.com/farrell_report_special_edition/

So far there are only a couple of photos there, but as time allows I will add more from my collection. These photos can be downloaded for your personal collection.

Unfortunately I'll not be able to put my entire collection there due to space limitations, so from time to time, I will deleat older pictures in order to add newer ones. NOTE: these will all be historic pictures and not current views.
