It's Time To Volunteer For The StreetScape Planting

STREETSCAPE 2008 VOLUNTEER INFORMATION

Saturday, June 7 (rain date - Sunday, June 8 )
Meet and check in at the East Federal Street Tent
7:30 a.m.- Complimentary Danish and Donuts
8:00 a.m. - Let the Planting Begin

Volunteers should arrive by 7:45 a.m.  Please check in at the information booth in the East Federal Street Tent.  T-shirts will be distributed to pre-registered teams and volunteers.  Plant distribution will take place at this time.

Volunteer groups will report to assigned areas.  StreetScape Assistants will be available to supervise areas and to answer any questions.

Volunteer groups should assist other groups once their assigned area is completed.

Complimentary Volunteer & Donor Recognition Party immediately follows the planting.

Volunteers should bring the following to the StreetScape 2008 event:
Small Hand Tools
Shovels
Rakes
Hoses
Buckets
Wheelbarrows (if possible)
Gloves
Sunscreen
Insect Repellent
Beverages/Snacks

Volunteers should label all belongings and tools with their name!

StreetScape drew slightly over 300 folks last year. Let's get to 350+. Tell a friend.

This is a great way to "get your hands dirty" for the city while meeting new folks. Even I meet new people each year. Catered breakfast and lunch will be provided. If you know someone who is even the slightest bit interested in doing something for the city, have them attend this event. It's a good time, a really good cause, and a really great way to meet some new folks and experience downtown Youngstown proper in all its glory.

StreetScape 2008 - Just Plant It

It's time to volunteer for StreetScape 2008.  The planting day is Saturday, June 7, between 8:00 a.m. and 12 noon.  Individuals and organizations are encouraged to participate.  To receive a volunteer registration form, please call the Youngstown CityScape office at 330-742-4040.
