Building Your Wealth without Breaking Your Bank

In June of 2017, Netflix (NFLX) was trading on the stock market at around $155 per share. One year later NFLX surpassed $350 per share. If you had one share for Netflix in 2017 and sold it this year you’d have made a return of over $200. But that is the problem with investing for many of us: the stocks that are worth buying are more than we can afford. Or are they? What if you could buy a share of Netflix for $5? What if you got it in 2017? Join the BIC for a special opportunity to grow your knowledge and your wealth. Five participants will learn the basics of finance and the economy and, if they meet the requirements, will receive a $10 gift certificate to use to invest in a company. We will discuss the differences between types of investments, inexpensive alternatives to purchasing shares or opening an IRA for retirement, and how to assess the risk of investing.
