There are only 22 days left before the voters of Ohio will go to the polls to vote in an election in which all eyes will be on Ohio, yet State and County officials around the state are still fighting on how we will vote - will it be by machine - will it be by paper - will it be both.

Setting aside personal preferences because we actually have no real say at this point, the fact is that the national news media is going to be watching Ohio very closely, more closely in fact than in previous years because of the closeness in the Democratic race for the White House.

Ohio's past performances have not been stellar, and we've been the object of Congressional hearings.

The November 2008 General Election is going to go down in the history books as the first time a major national party ran a Black or a Woman for President, and the March 4th Primary will determine which it will be. Historically Ohio has always been the state that clinched it for candidates, which explains why the news media gives us special attention.

Lets all hold our breath that a solution can be reached within the next few days, because it will take time to print up paper ballots for all the counties and get the precinct workers trained.

Lets all pray that this years primary goes without a hitch because we all know that the press will not allow us to forget past elections.
