The Region One Destination Imagination Tournament will take place on Saturday, March 17, 2007 at Youngstown State University. Performances will occur in several locations in Kilcawley and Beeghly Centers all day and the public is welcome to view them. Destination ImagiNation® is an activity that promotes teamwork and creativity. There are several challenges available to teams. Teams are encouraged to think outside of the box and team managers are asked to step back, provide a safe working environment, and keep team members on task. Team members prepare their presentations for several months without assistance.

Youngstown State University has been the tournament location for several years and has been most accommodating to Region One. Region One provides a list of activities in and around the YSU campus that are available for exploration by families on tournament day. This year there will be over 400 students performing. They bring their managers, parents, siblings, grandparents and extended families. Appraisers and volunteers work all day to make the tournament run smoothly. The normally quiet spring break is a hub of activity. This is a wonderful opportunity for aspiring college students and their families to see the campus first hand.
