What is a DeYor?

The auditorium is still Powers Auditorium.  The entire complex including the new venues is called the De Yor Performing Arts Center.

Where did this DeYor Performing Arts Center come from?  Used to be Powers Auditorium but apparently that name is gone.  I don't remember hearing anything about the name change.
