This was on a sunday early evening not a work day for some.

I would agree with you Jay, perhaps even 6:30 pm or 7:00 pm. I never could understand why there is an obcession with having every event at 6:00 pm.

They held the tree lighting event too early.  Most people did not get home from work by 5:00 p.m..

Comunity tree lighting this evening at Faith Community Church, 1919 East Midlothian Blvd. 5:00 p.m. Caroling and refreshments following. Join in the celebration of the season.
