Hey Jay, name me one Natural spice that is grown in the United States of America. Most spices come from South East Asia. Go to the spice section of any store and find one NATURAL spice that is 100% American. Most of McCormick spices are imported.

I'll bet that at least half of the ingrediants of the cookies are imported from foreign countries especially the spices and seasonings. Most of the spices that go into cookies are imported, and since Jay is opposed to imported goods then he shouldn't be supporting this auction. Only if the cookies contain 100% American produced spices and seasonings, and baskets will we support it.

The food is home made. I don't know about the baskets. But you'd be hard-pressed to find any baskets made in the USA affordably.

What guarintee do we have that everything in those cookies and desserts including the baskets are 100% made in America. If they do not post where everything is made, then they must be hiding the fact that some of it was made by foreigners in a foreign country.

The Garden District Neighborhood Association is asking everyone to get ready for the group's Cookie & Dessert Auction.  This event will be held on Tuesday, September 15, in the Davis Building at Fellows Riverside Gardens.  The goodies will be auctioned using a basket raffle format.
