We do have the ignore option, but it only blocks the post if you first select to ignore a person. After that it will block their posts provided you logged in.

My vote would be for the return of the ignore function on the forum,
that way everyone can decide for themselves if they want to block
seeing someone's posts if they find them offensive, annoying, etc.

I've had some serious questions to ask BG in a polite q&a but he or she refuses to respond or enter a civil debate. BG wants to post, but will not answer questions. My friend Irishbobcat who I respect always responded to all my questiobns in a polite manner even though he knew that I might not always agree with him. God Bless his precious soul, Dennis is everything an educator should be.
