In the first robbery, which happened at 8:06 p.m. Friday at First Place Bank on Mahoning Avenue, ...  threw a brick at the driver's-side window of the woman's car while she was attempting to make a deposit ...  He pulled a handgun ...  Detective Frank Tomasino said the woman is a relative of the owner of the Little Lotto Shack on Mahoning Avenue, was making a deposit for the business.  ...  after a struggle (good way to get shot if they really have a gun)  the robber got away with $2,794 & the woman's purse. Tomasino said the woman can ask for a police escort to the bank.

In the second robbery, which happened Sunday at 2:51 p.m., a man approached the counter at the BP station, 3602 Mahoning Ave., and told an employee he had a gun, which she never saw.  The employee gave him $60. He ordered her to get on the floor and count to 10 while he escaped. Police reported he left the parking lot in a brown or gray minivan.
