HOW DO CITIES DO IT?

Purpose: Focus on the role of city hall in shaping a menu of tools as incentives for potential developers and homeowners.
Speakers:
Melissa Barry: Director of Housing and Community Development, Louisville, Ky., will discuss the strategies and policies that have contributed to strong investment in Louisville's neighborhoods.

Jerry Egan: Manager of Comprehensive Planning Division, City of Akron, Ohio, will discuss the menu of incentives and programs his city offers that have led to strong investment in Akron's neighborhoods.

Responders: Jason Whitehead, Mayor's Chief of Staff, City of Youngstown and Heather McMahon, Urban Design and Grants Coordinator, City of Warren.
