Over a thousand people participate in the existing tailgate parties on the YSU campus. From what I understand, tailgate spots are not always available on campus for those who want to attend.   Downtown bars and restaurants are only two blocks away.  Downtown tailgate parties would further help to merge a university activity with the downtown.   Merging YSU with the downtown is a goal of 2010.

Perhaps the next forum gathering could be a downtown tailgate party.

Tailgate parties are very popular before YSU football games.  Has a downtown restaurant ever held a tailgate party next to their business?
