Hey Rick - are you still thinking about animating the Tod Engine with an external
motor of some type, down the road?

That would be an eye-popper to see, for sure, with that huge flywheel and
pistons turning and pumping....

Yesterday we got our propane fired engine running at the Youngstown Steel Heritage Museum.  This engine originally powered a pump jack at an oil well and was sold by the Continental Supply Co., a subsidiary of Youngstown Sheet & Tube. 
Here is a video if it running.   It drives an air compressor but will also run an alternator to provide an alternate means of charging the solar batteries.
