I love progress!  I get so excited when the leaders lead and we citizens can follow.  Great job Councilman Swierz performed in putting Debra Flora of the County Landbank , Atty. Chris Samarone and myself together to brainstorm this community project.  This is all I wanted to see in Youngstown, is the private sector and the public sector working for a common goal.
I now can see this project moving forward as a model for future projects, stay tuned!

TT,
I have a meeting this morning with the City, Landbank and their Atty. today.  We will know how this thing will move forward today.  BTW, your pictures of the site was great!

I'm excited for the 7th ward!  Finally I feel cooperation maybe in the air for all of us "stakeholders" of Youngstown.  I see the vision of the 7th ward, we saw this vision in Poland Village 8 years ago when we got tired of looking at an outdated gas station right at the triangle of 170 and 224.  We all see the beauty of Peterson park today.  BTW, sadly, that is Youngstown and Campbell sandstone I hauled in to build the park when no brains were left in MY Youngstown to think of what to do with the historic sandstone.  We were deconstructing back then when D'avignon was waisting our taxpayer money  trying to justify his existence.
Back to production, the 7th ward is right on, to envision the same asset on Powers way to demolish the buildings and build a beautification project with a "Welcome to Powerstown" sign, I love it!
The late Atty. John Weed Powers took me under his wing when I first moved up here and knew nobody.  Atty. Powers taught me to work for community ultimately.  He was a shining example of a local's love for his community.  He also was rebuked but he fought on, I follow him, he was a great man.
