Some folks do not dig sarcastic stuff ... really up tight and I guess I can understand it, but can we North Siders be blamed for being the center of everything cultural and educational? Seems to me that we're the ones who should be walking with our noses in the stratisphere above the mundane things of this world such as pool halls and pawn shops, but no, we're just as humble as we can be about our good fortune.

I was just being sarcastic my friend ... not inconsistent.
I have a lot of friends on the west side ... the Southeast side ... and yes, even the East Side, and I wouldn't hurt them for anything, even to make a point. And yes, I'm extremely proud of the North Side, but I do not go around bragging about stuff that in reality is inconsequential like pool halls and pawn shops.
The North Side ... sure it has it falts as well as it's diamonds, but the good outweigh the bad by universes, and the same can be said about the West Side, and you my friend are one of those West Side diamonds. I needn't tell you about how I feel about your talents as a photographer, and your love for our city ... your posts on Urban Ohio speak for themselves.

The opening of a new pool hall is just another example of why the West Side prospers while the other sides are wastelands.

You need to be more consistent, Towntalk.  I just read another thread where you were saying how great the northside is, because of YSU, museums, and such.  Now you're saying all other sides of town are wastelands.
