i do not think mike ray wants to be portrayed as a grinch but his actions reveals a cold hearted side to him. the owners, parents and son are using this store front as a charity drop off and pick up as a place for seasonal clothing for peope down on thier luck. the son said they are appling for the proper permits to make thier store for commercial use. the son needs more time for the latter according to the article.

Rick Rowlands

I think a better question is why is a thrift store a regulated use requiring special permission?

Why didn't the landlord tell the tenant there were limitations on the use of the property?
