I found a style that I'm happy with - it is combo of soft blues and greens.
Still need to modify the real estate pages and tweak some formatting issues.
I hope the color combo is acceptable to you all.

Note :
if you add an item to the calendar, it will show on selected mahoningvalley pages on both the calendar and on the upcoming events list if it is coming soon.  You can link exisitng posts to the calendar by clicking "link to calendar at the bottom of the post.  You can also click to add to the calendar and have the details show as a post anywhere in the forum.

MahoningValley.Info is now open!

Please let me know of any problems or lag time.
I had debugging "on" for opening night.

If you experienced issues with seeing polls on opening night, the issue is now fixed.  I tried 3 integrated polls and finally gave up and used an external poll.

To do:
  • Finish gallery - add pics, format. The random photo is from another gallery I host and is a test.
  • Finish community links - this is mish mash of new and old links totaling over 700, so it is taking time to validate each one.  Hopefully it will be in better order this week
  • Make redirects for existing pages
  • Add  more  content such as a list of local blogs and more newsfeeds.  The Vindicator will not respond clearly  to questions about using their newsfeeds.  I have asked over the past few years since they've provided the RSS link.
  • Tweak CSS formatting - can't get the site to look good at 100% page width and at fixed width some things bleed to the right in firefox.  I might change the formatting altogether.  I was attempting to make it jibe loosely with the forum.  It might be easier to come up with something new for the site and make the forum match it instead. Editing the CSS is a challenge in joomla content management system.

There is a bridge with the forum for users but I haven't been able to get it working correctly.  Not that it matters, the site is completely open for all visitors.
