Original One Act Play Festival This Summer

The Youngstown Playhouse is hosting a new, original one act play festival in July at The Playhouse. This festival gives the playwright the exciting opportunity to work with the actors and director to bring the work to the stage for the very first time. Three winning submissions will be workshopped during the month of July with staged readings on July 28th and 29th.

This first of its kind festival in Youngstown is being organized by Bernie Appugliese and The Playhouse with Mr. Appugliese, Carla Gipson, and Matthew Mazuroski comprising the evaluation team. Auditions for the plays will be held June 11th and 12th at The Playhouse with workshops beginning July 9th.

Anyone interested in submitting a play for consideration should apply between May 11th and May 31st.

A submission fee of $10.00 is required.
