Someone recently asked if the downtown flower plantings could be moved up to May.

The StreetScape planting probably occurs in June for several reasons.  Mid-May is usually the last frost date.  Volunteer labor is more readily available when schools are out for the summer.  Plants grown in local greenhouses usually aren't mature enough until June.
