The route change has only been suggested.  The WRTA does not plan to implement it at this time.

Just playing devil's advocate: There is a voting location on Belle Vista.  I wonder if it would be too confusing to have a special "election day" route that uses the old Cornersburg route?

The 35-Cornersburg bus has been temporarily rerouted from Belle Vista to Hazelwood Avenue.  Some people like the reroute and have asked the WRTA to make Hazelwood the main way of getting from Chaney High School to Mahoning Avenue.

The Belle Vista portion of the Cornersburg route ran past a large portion of Calvary Cemetery and Mill Creek Park and did not pick up any riders in that area.  Hazelwood has homes lining both sides of the street from Chaney to Mahoning.  Ridership potential is better along Hazelwood.

The maintenance supervisor for the WRTA is retiring.  The organization already received 22 job applications for the position.
