the run will be the most popular run for wrta. fellow riders on the south ave busline were excited about the news. the riders express their delight by saying they are given more shopping venues than what mah cty can offer.

Twenty people were on the bus for the return trip.  Five boarded in front of the the East Wood Mall and 3 at Rt. 46.

From another message on this Mass Transit Board

QuoteContrary to the schedule, the bus does not go into the Eastwood Mall.  It only stops on Rt. 422 in front of the mall.

Those riders returning to Youngstown have to walk across busy Rt. 422 in order to catch the bus on the south side of the street.  This is unsafe.  From what I've heard, the mall management will not allow the bus on their property.

:) Good report. I am glad you got pictures. What time was this? Did you ride the whole thing? What time did you return? Did it go into the Mall? How did these people find out about the bus, or do you think they were present riders? I will pass this information on. I mentioned what I found out to one of the employment specialists, at Job #2. She is interested in this for clients she has in both Trumbull and Mahoning county. There is one other employment specialist who does the same in both counties. The biggest problem they have in finding work is how their clients are going to get there.

It was great to see the WRTA bus arrive on Courthouse Square in downtown Warren.

I took a trip on the Warren Express today, the first day of service.  I'm pleased to report that 19 people boarded the bus at Federal Station in Downtown Youngstown.  Twelve of the riders got off at the East Wood Mall.  Three riders exited at Courthouse Square in Warren while the others went to other destinations.

These are some of the passengers enjoying the trip to Warren.
