Bobby D's & Other Midlothian Restaurants

The city recorded another murder on the south side last night.  I've heard that the main reason why people, especially from the suburbs, stopped patronizing restaurants on Midlothian Boulevard is the murder rate on the south side.  People are afraid to come to that side of town in the evening.

Do any of the candidates for mayor have a plan to save the few remaining restaurants on the south side?  I understand that at least two candidates live in that part of the city.

I heard today that Bobby D's Restaurant on E. Midlothian is going to close.  This follows the recent departure of Johnny's Restaurant which was located a few hundred yards west of Bobby D's.
