After a foot of snow falls, I say screw the sidewalks.  Even healthy people are at risk trying to move that much snow.

Towntalk

Many of our senios citizens are unable to safely shovel their sidewalks for health reasons, so rather than complain about their sidewalks not being shoveled it would be nice if some good citizen were to help them out by at least making paths for them, and by the way, it wouldn't hurt to look in on them if the weather gets too bad.

While the actual numbers at the airport surely differ than the numbers downtown, it's a pretty safe bet that if the airport shows a record month, downtown probably has a record month too.

They claim that December 2010 will end up recording the most snow of any December on record.
:P

The records are kept for the airport in Trumbull County and don't necessarily reflect conditions in Youngstown.

I am forecasting a 12-14 inches... More under heavier squalls.

I just heard the weatherman on the radio say that we may have as much as 10 inches of snow in the Mahoning Valley by Wednesday.
