Government has no business sticking its nose into the private operations of Quad/Graphics.   NO GOVERNOR SHOULD HAVE THE POWER to dictate whether a private company stays in Ohio or leaves.

More Job Losses Under Ted Strickland To End September

In Northeast Ohio, The Lake County Board of Developmental Disabilities has voted unanimously to seek a provider to take over day-to-day operations of two residential facilities.

The 150 employees in the Adult Residence Center and Jacklitz Continuing Development Center will be laid off or have to find work in other service programs provided by the Board of DD, according to the board's director of legal and administrative services, Eric Schaltenbrand.

The decision to no longer operate the centers is based on a recent change in the employees' health care insurance premiums.

In Southwest Ohio, Layoffs have started at one of the city's largest private employers as the company prepares to close its printing facility.
Approximately 400 people will lose their jobs by the time Quad/Graphics — located along Fujitec Drive — is scheduled to close at the end of the year.
The city of Lebanon will lose approximately $275,000 annually in tax revenue, including a $198,000 hit to the general fund, which pays for basic city operations.
This is Ohio under Ted Strickland, past, present, and future.
When you have a Governor who is slow to react on healthcare and using the Department of Development to save jobs, you will continue to find the unemployment numbers rise in the Buckeye state.
That's why Ohio need a Green Party Governor committed to affordable health care for all Ohioans and a Green Party Governor committed to do something to save jobs and tax revenues for cities and villages.
