Once again we see the problems of Youngstown are placed on the backburner in state politics while such venues in Toledo and Akron have already been approved.

If this is such a complicated case, then the governor and the tax folks need to make this their most important case and come to a decision, soon.

The delay is ridiculous.

The city owes 3.5 million in back taxes to county.

The city has been waiting since April 2006 for the state to approve tax exempt status for the Covelli Center.

14 months is the typical processing time.

The county hasn't tried to slap a lien on the facility. The fault lies with the state.
