A local TV weather reporter claims that we had a month's worth of rain in 12 hours.

He claimed we already had 4+ inches of rain today with a little more to come during the evening.

This has been a soggy Labor Day so far.

It rained most of the morning and now most of the afternoon.

My outdoor grilling has been canceled.  I can't do any yard work in the rain.
