 The chairwoman of the Senate Intelligence Committee says the Bush administration may have broken the law if it ordered the CIA to conceal the existence of a counterterrorism program.

Sen. Dianne Feinstein says that CIA Director Leon Panetta told senators last month that Dick Cheney as vice president had ordered the program not be disclosed to Congress.

Feinstein says that Congress was kept in the dark and that, in her words, "that's something that should never, ever happen again."


Now that was from a news story, let us think about this.

     The Congressional leaders were briefed on the taping of certain types of phone calls and it ended up in the NYT.

The congress was told we were tracking Usama Bin Laden by his use of his cell phone and they told him about it in the papers. And all over the news.

Now why in the world would they be trusted to keep their mouths shut about any other classified anti terrorism programs? I say they were unreliable and no longer had the need to know. And Senator Feinstein can go jump rope somewhere.
