Coping with Grief and the Holidays- Canfield

When: Friday, November 15, 2019 - 11:30 AM - 12:30 PM
Where: Canfield Library at CN Meeting Room (Large)

Ordinarily, we think of the holidays as a time of joy, sparkle, and celebrations.  But when one is coping with grief, this year’s holidays may be “out of the ordinary” for you.  As the holidays approach, think about how to take care of yourself during this difficult time, or to be aware of the effect the holidays may have on your grieving family or friends. It is important to recognize the benefit of understanding grief and implementing some strategies that can assist in coping with feelings of anxiety, sadness and emptiness.  Join Kim Calhoun from Hospice of the Valley as she demonstrates taking a few intentional steps that can help an individual begin to regain a sense of order and peace.
