The proposed $250 million 3C passenger rail plan passed the state house, but will probably face harsh opposition in the senate.

The 3C proposal is part of the overall "Ohio Hub" plan, that would have interlocking rail lines with Detroit, Chicago, Indianapolis and Pittsburgh. A line from Cleveland to Pittsburgh would (logically) have to run through the Youngstown area.
