Poland schools eliminating pay to participate

The Poland Board of Education voted to eliminate pay to participate (PTP) for student-athletes and band members at Monday's Board of Education.  The Poland school district implemented pay to participate in 2012, as one of the numerous measures to reduce expenditures when the school district was facing financial issues.  Pay to participate charged student-athletes $200 per sport.
