Officials investigating Lackawannock barn fire

A fire burst out in Lackawannock leaving a barn burned to the ground.  Just after 10:30 am on Tuesday the Mercer East Fire Department battled a barn fire.  The horses that are usually kept in the barn just happened to be out for training at the time of the fire.  A pig also escaped the fire and got out of the barn safely, but there were some chickens that are unaccounted for.
