Are Interstate 80 accidents on the rise?

A tractor trailer accident on I-80 in Liberty Thursday morning ruined the streak of over a hundred days in the safety corridor without a serious accident.  Police say distracted driving was the likely cause.  Last week two Hickory High School students were killed a few miles down the road just outside of the safety corridor area.  It seems we at 21 News frequently report on crashes on I-80 that involve serious injuries or lead to closing the interstate down all to...
