Mathews School Resource Officer arrested after being placed on leave

Mathews Schools resource officer Mike Sheehy was arrested Monday evening on charges of theft in office, possessing criminal tools and another charge of theft. 32-year-old Sheehy was placed on leave from the district on Monday, January 14 as investigators looked into what school officials will describe as a “situation” not involving a student.
