Regretfully I have to admit that the old Paramount building MUST[/u] be torn down before there is someone seriously hurt, or a fire that could do severe harm to those new businesses that are locating in that block.

FOR THE 100th TIME, THE PARAMOUNT IS SO FAR BEYOND REPAIR THAT NO ONE WITH ANY DEGREE OF SANITY WOULD WANT TO PUT ANY MONEY INTO TRYING TO RESTORE THE BUILDING. MANY PHOTOS HAVE BEEN POSTED SHOWING THE INTERIOR OF THE PARAMOUNT/LIBERTY, AND I WOULD HOPE THAT EVERYONE HERE HAS VIEWED THEM.

The land upon which the theater is standing on could be put to better use if only the city would get off the dime and demolish the building.

MUST DEMOLISH THAT I THINK ITS CALLED THE PARAMOUNT THEATER ACROSS FROM THE NEW M.C. CHILDRENS SERVICES BUILDING AND THE FIRST EDUCATORS CREDIT UNION

With the demolition of several more buildings in downtown in order to make way for the 7th District court, and the slated demolition of the Master's Tuxedo block, I was wondering what, if any, buildings are empty or vacent in downtown, and what you think should be done with them. I know that the Liberty theater is vacant, but is there anything else?
