Driving less......planning multi-stops on one day to keep the cars in the driveways as much as possible.....

buying sale items......buying off-brand items......

Learning to determine wants versus needs.......

The beginning of the 21st century Great Depression may be beginning.....

oh. and if you read today's Vindicator's article about how the new cable bill went into effect last summer has not had that much impact on us, remember, Bob hagan did vote YES for it anyway, then received a political donation from Time Warner Cable and ATT 2 weeks later.

I just watch what I am spending my money on. I continue to go golfing and doing the things I like to do, but I just try not to drive as much... I used to have to fill up every 10 days and 3 times per month, but its now up every 13-14 days and just twice per month; which is saving me some money...

This is an interesting question that I'd hope everyone responds to.

For my part, being on a fixed income, I watch very carefully what I buy in the way of groceries, my sole source of entertainment is the television as opposed to going out, and my computer.

If I don't absolutely need it, I don't buy it which means I'm not always running to the Malls or Plaza's.

My charitable contributions have been dramatically cut back.

So far as eating out, that has been eliminated completely, and what money I save goes into absolute necessities.

Fortunately these cutbacks have allowed me to keep ahead of the regular bills that we all have to deal with, leaving me not having to worry about them (Gas, electric, phone etc.), and I'm blessed by having good friends who look after me and my neighbor lady friend who is in poor health so I can't really complain about anything.
