Bricks have their own problems, like slippery roads. 

How about some properly graded, based (which includes proper underground drainage of that base ground to get the water away), poured concrete....at the right thickness to support the weight and associated wear & tear of future traffic....not just the current level of weight and traffic.

Many cities around Cleveland have gotten this right....even with the additional lake effect snow and associated salt.

That's one of the ideas in the Garden District's plan.

I like to joke that there is as much brick (at the bottom of the potholes) as asphalt exposed on S. Lakeview and Portland already.

The potholes on our city streets are getting worse every year.  While we are implementing 2010, we should start to install some brick streets again.
