Warning "Political Yards Signs" do not Vote! 
Some Political Consultants counsel against wasting too much precious campaign money on this somewhat ineffective low level tactic. Political yard signs are viewed by the voters as a signal that Election Day is coming soon and the signs do little to persuade the voter in who to vote for. So why do candidates use yard signs? Because yard signs are traditional and some friend of the candidate thinks it's a great idea.
