The Historic Preservation Committee of the Mahoning Valley Historical Society Board of Trustees has initiated an Historic Preservation Awards program this year to honor those in the Mahoning Valley who take an active role in preservation projects in Trumbull and Mahoning counties are eligible for recognition in appropiate catagories.

Award winners will be announced to the public during Historic Preservation Week in May and recognized by the members of the Mahoning Valley Historical Society at the 130th Annual Meeting in June, according to spokesman H. William Lawson.
