Illegal Immigrants

This would be a good question to ask the mayor or police chief the next time they appear on a radio talk show.

I don't know what YPD's policy is but do know that they will get little or no help from the INS. Police Departments in other cities picked up Illegals and notified INS only to be told to let them go while in other cities police were told to do nothing by their Mayor and Police Chief. This is a major problem nationally that will grow progressively worse.

As you know doubt know, there are commercial farms in the valley that hire migrant workers so I'm not the least bit shocked that YPD came across some.

Lets hope that Mayor Williams doesn't declare Youngstown a "Sanctuary City" or we will have serious problems that we can ill afford to have, yet if the Mayor follows the lead of the Mayor of Hazelton, Pa. we'll see the Pro-Imigration crowd coming here to stir up trouble like they are doing in other cities. There's no winner on this issue so long as Congress is prepared to sell us all out on the issue.

As you know, the Senate will be trying to railroad another immigration bill thru Congress that the Bush administration supports, and one of our Senators is 100% in favor of it.

I thought that I just heard on the scanner that the police stopped someone who is an illegal immigrant.

Question
What happens to an illegal immigrant when they are identified by the Youngstown Police Department?
I've heard that in other cities they are just released.
