STAND UP AND FIGHT BLIGHT ON MONDAY WITH THE VISTA VOLUNTEERS FROM TAFT PROMISE NEIGHBORHOOD AND YNDC!
Monday, January 15th is a National Day of Service for all AmeriCorps/VISTA Volunteers and we want you to join us in cleaning up and securing abandoned properties in the Cottage Grove area of the Taft Promise Neighborhood.
EVERYONE IS WELCOME to come and participate no matter where you live or what you do.
WHERE: Meet at the 100 block of East Judson Avenue where street parking is available between Southern Boulevard and Erie Street.
WHEN: 8:30 a.m. on Monday, January 15th
DRESS WARMLY! AND RUGGEDLY! IT'S A LONG JOHNS-AND-WORK CLOTHES DAY! The weather forecast calls for a cloudy day with temps in the mid 20s, plus whatever snow remains on the ground from Saturday morning's winter storm.
Make it a day "on" instead of a day "off"! Join us not only to honor the man whose holiday is celebrated on January 15th this year, but also to live up to his inspiring words:
